Energy Healing Course in Melbourne: Pellowah Levels 1 and 2
If you're looking at energy healing courses in Melbourne, you've probably noticed there are a lot of options, and they don't all teach the same thing. This page explains what our Pellowah Levels 1 and 2 course covers, how it's structured and who it tends to suit, so you can decide whether it's the right fit for you.
We've kept it plain and practical. No hype, just what you can expect.
What is Pellowah?
Pellowah is a non-touch energy healing practice. During a session, the person receiving usually lies fully clothed and relaxed while the practitioner works without hands-on contact. Many people describe the experience as calming, though everyone's experience is different and there's no single way it's meant to feel.
If you'd like more background on where Pellowah comes from and how it's practised, you can read our overview of what Pellowah is.
Please note: Pellowah is a complementary practice. It is not a substitute for medical, psychological or other professional health care, and it isn't used to diagnose or treat any condition. If you have a health concern, please keep seeing your doctor or qualified health professional, and talk with them about any changes to your care.
How the course is structured
At the Australian Pellowah Centre, Levels 1 and 2 are taught together as one course. You don't need to complete Level 1 separately first and come back later for Level 2. Both levels are covered within the same course, so you finish with a complete foundation in the practice.
Teaching both levels together means you can learn the background, receive the attunements and practise giving sessions in one continuous learning experience, rather than spreading it across separate bookings.
Who the Levels 1 and 2 course suits
You don't need any prior healing experience to take this course. It's designed so people can start from the beginning.
Students often include:
- Beginners who are curious about energy healing and want a structured place to start
- Practitioners in other wellbeing or complementary fields who are interested in adding Pellowah to what they already know
- Reiki practitioners who want to explore a different, non-touch approach
People come to the course for different reasons, and what each person takes from it varies. If you're unsure whether it suits you, you're welcome to get in touch and ask questions before you enrol.
What you will learn
The course gives you a clear, practical grounding in Pellowah. Across Levels 1 and 2, you'll cover:
- What Pellowah is and how it is practised
- The Pellowah Level 1 and Level 2 attunements
- How to give a Pellowah session to another person, step by step
- Supervised practice, both giving and receiving sessions with other students
- How to practise respectfully, including clear communication, consent and appropriate boundaries with the people you work with
Like most skills, confidence in giving sessions tends to build gradually with practice after the course.
How Pellowah differs from Reiki
People often ask whether Pellowah is a type of Reiki. It isn't. Pellowah and Reiki are separate systems, each with its own origins, methods and way of teaching.
Reiki has a long tradition that traces back to Japan and is practised widely around the world. Many people value it, and many Pellowah students have trained in Reiki first. Pellowah developed independently and is taught in its own way, so it is best understood on its own terms rather than as a variation of another practice.
Neither is "better" than the other. They are different, and the right choice depends on what draws you. If you would like a closer look, read our guide to how Pellowah compares with Reiki.
